How to install the QCreate module from the CVS archive

The easiest way to keep your moodle system up to date is to download Moodle from the CVS archive. Third party modules like Question Creation can also be downloaded and kept up to date in this way. If you are not familiar with the CVS archive and installing modules, you should read through these links:
If you want to try and use the CVS archive, then:
  1. start up a Terminal
  2. switch to your moodle directory:
    • cd /library/webserver/documents/moodle/mod/
  3. login to a moodle archive:
    • cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@uk.cvs.moodle.org:/cvsroot/moodle login
  4. when you are asked for password, just press the return key.
  5. download the qcreate module:
    • cvs -q -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@uk.cvs.moodle.org:/cvsroot/moodle co -d qcreate contrib/plugins/mod/qcreate
